Carrie Kyle
Registered Clinical Counsellor
Carrie Kyle, M.A., RCC (#15822)
Carrie is a Registered Clinical Counsellor with a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology and a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. Before becoming a counsellor, she spent many years working with children and families in both public and independent school systems across Canada and abroad.
Carrie has completed advanced post-graduate training in Expressive Play Therapy, Sand Play Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and the Developmental Model of Couples Therapy.
She considers it a privilege to walk alongside children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families as they navigate emotional, relational, and mental health challenges. Her therapeutic approach is person-centred, solution-focused, and strength-based, creating a compassionate space for clients to explore growth and healing.
Carrie specializes in child and youth therapy, with extensive training and experience in expressive play therapy. She recognizes that children often communicate best through play—especially when words are hard to find. Through play, Carrie helps children build self-regulation skills, strengthen mind-body-emotion awareness, and develop coping and problem-solving abilities. Her work supports healthy attachment, empathy, and resilience, empowering young people to express themselves and connect in healthier ways.
Outside of her professional life, Carrie is happily married and the proud mother of two wonderful young adult children. She also adores her playful cat, whose antics never fail to bring a smile to her face.
How I work
My approach to therapy is person-centred, solution-focused, and strength-based, grounded in compassion and curiosity. I believe growth happens through connection — the safe, trusting relationship between therapist and client — and through recognizing the resources and resilience you already carry.
Whether we work through conversation, play, or creative expression, therapy is a collaborative process. Together, we’ll focus on what matters most to you, helping you move toward greater balance, understanding, and emotional wellbeing.
We're here for you
Sometimes, healing begins in small moments — a new understanding, a deeper connection, a sense of hope returning. Those are the moments when things begin to click into place.
If you’re ready to take the next step toward change, I’d be honoured to walk alongside you.
